Civet (Civettictis civetta)

September 12, 2008: Hurricane Ike
pummeled the Galveston coast.
Fortunately, hundreds of animals living in
Galveston¹s Moody Gardens survived, but
unfortunately, many of their enclosures
did not. As with all new arrivals, the Zoo
first quarantined the Moody Gardens
animals at the Health Center These
animals will move into their new homes
after an examination by our veterinarian
staff. Shown is a civet, which has cleared
quarantine and is now on exhibit in Africa Live!
