Nature Activity of the MonthEvery month we will feature a different nature activity you can do at home!MAY Leaf Print Butterfly While your child collects a variety of their favorite leaves and a short stick, cut a toilet paper roll in half and cut a pair of butterfly wings out of recycled paper. After your child decorates the tp roll, create two eyes with a hole punch. Next, have your child press a leaf onto an ink pad and then onto their butterfly wings. Repeat using different leaves and different colors. Glue or tape the wings and stick to the tp roll, then attach a few scraps of left over paper for the antennae. Happy fluttering! |
