Group Programs

Custom Programs

Looking for a fun, educational experience for your group? The Education Department can design a special program for your group. Night tours, overnights, scout programs, team building events and behind the scenes opportunities can be arranged; as scheduling permits. Call 210-734-7184, ext.1501 for details.

Roars and Snores

Ages 6 and up
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Cost: $45 per person, 20 person minimum

Grab your sleeping bag and invite your group, your troop, your neighbors and your friends for the wildest slumber party in town! Tour the Zoo, participate in a challenging activity and even meet some animals up close.  An evening snack, continental breakfast, morning adventure and admission to the Zoo the next day are included.

Roars and Snores: Africa Live!

Ages 6 and up
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Cost: $60 per person, 20 person minimum 


Imagine sleeping along the riverbank under the watchful eyes of hippos and crocodiles...that's just part of the exciting adventure you'll experience when you spend the night in Africa Live! 
Join us for an after hours tour of the Zoo, animal presentations and an activity before you drift off to sleep; then spend the rest of the next day exploring the Zoo on your own.  Evening snack and continental breakfast are included.

Roars and Snores: Zootennial Overnight

Ages 6 and up
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m
Cost: $45 per person
 
(No minimum participants required; multiple registrations are expected.)

Designed for families, friends and small groups, this overnight adventure is one you won't want to miss! Visit animals from around the world as you tour the Zoo after dark, meet animals up close and participate in an animal related activity.  Enjoy an evening snack before snuggling into your sleeping bag for the night.  Start the next morning with a continental breakfast and animal presentation, and then spend the rest of the day exploring the Zoo on your own.

Are you ready for an adventure? Join us after the Zoo closes for a special evening tour with Zoo experts.  You'll even get to meet an animal ambassador!

Calling all Scouts! Discover more about animals and the Zoo in a fun-filled program that compliments badge or pin requirements. Prescheduled workshops make it convenient to earn a Scout the Zoo patch, while making new friends from other Scout groups!
