What better way to celebrate your special day then to explore “Africa” in search of lions; spot kangaroos in the “Outback” and whoop like a gibbon. YOUR San Antonio Zoo has prepared a number of party options from simple to extravagant; from a few guests to up to 200; from self directed to staff directed; whatever your needs, let Education staff help create a birthday adventure your family will always remember.

Want to lead your own safari? Sign up for a Zoo It Yourself Birthday Party and receive a packet containing 10 entry tickets, 10 train tickets, 10 invitations, 10 vouchers for an ice cream and a coupon good for a birthday surprise from the gift-shop. Included is a specially designed Safari Guide full of exciting information you can share with your guests as you lead your own birthday tour. Set up your party in any available area and go wild! Packets may be picked up at the Education Center or please allow 10 days to receive your packet by mail.

It’s a jungle in here and guests are in for a wild adventure and celebration. Package includes 10 invitations, admission into the zoo for 10, animal presentation, short tour, fish or goat feeding opportunity, birthday cake, ice cream, drinks and party decorations.

Policies
- Reservations must be made two weeks prior to your party.
- Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Reservations can be made online with a credit card or by calling 734-7184 ext 1501 to make arrangements to mail or deliver a personal check or cash deposit.
- A $50 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking.
- Education staff will call and confirm the details of your party the week of the party and final payment is due three days before the celebration.
- Party reservations are rain or shine, but exception may apply in severe weather at the discretion of the San Antonio Zoo staff.
- All party cancellations and refund requests must be submitted to the San Antonio Zoo Education Department in writing at least five (5) business days before the party. Please note that the $50 deposit is non-refundable and will be retained upon cancellation.
- Balloons, glass containers, plastic drink lids or straws, Styrofoam or alcohol beverages are NOT allowed into the San Antonio Zoo.
