Zoo welcomes royalty to its collection!
 YOUR San Antonio Zoo is happy to roll out the red carpet for its newest addition, a pair of Emperor Tamarins! Allegedly named for their resemblance to the German emperor Wilhelm II, this species of tamarin is easily distinguished by their Fu Manchu-style moustache! Native to the tropical forests of the western Amazon Basin, these small primates are considered endangered due to habitat loss. You can and see them near Amazonia at the Zoo!
A-B-C's at the Z-O-O!
 The most unique classroom in town, "Animal Alphabetica," is the Zoo's newest after school class for kids ages 4-6 and a parent/caregiver. That special tot will not only learn their A-B-C's, but they will experience up close animal adventures while learning the A through Z's about them! Classes run Mon., Wed., or Fri. from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Cost per adult & child per class is $14/members; $34 nonmembers.
