Adopt-An-Animal Program
The San Antonio Zoo is home to more than 3,500 animals representing 600 species of invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. You can help us provide for the care and feeding of the Zoo's living collection by sponsoring an animal for one year through our Adopt-an-Animal program.
Select the animal you would like to adopt from the Animals for Adoption List and choose the gift level at which you wish to participate. In return for your donation, we will send you or your gift recipient the sponsorship package that accompanies that particular gift level.
The Adopt-an-Animal program is perfect for many occasions: birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, businesses, school and club fundraising programs, and more.
All adopted animals remain in the care of the Zoo, and no ownership rights are conferred.

| Benefits of Lead Keeper level plus an 8 x 10 color photo, 2 guest passes to visit your adopted animal, and an listing on the Adopt-an-Animal recognition board in the Zoo for one year. |
| Benefits of Senior Keeper level plus 2 additional guest passes (total of 4) to visit your adopted animal, and an invitation to the Zoo's annual membership party. |
| Benefits of Assistant Curator level plus 2 additional guest passes (total of 6) to visit your adopted animal, and a plush toy of your adopted animal (If one is available, if not, a different plush may be substituted). |
| Benefit of Curator level plus 2 additional guest passes (total of 8) to visit your adopted animal, and an opportunity to meet the keeper who cares for your animal (one time only and by appointment). |
| Benefits of General Curator level plus 2 additional guest passes (total of 10) to visit your adopted animal, and a behind-the-scenes-tour to learn how the keepers care for your adopted animal (one time only and by appointment). |
